City of New York Inaugural Ceremony
I'm a fan of public speaking and knowing that, a friend of mine, Councilman Vincent Gentile, invited me to attend the city's inaugural ceremonies last Friday on New Years day. I was able to see mayor Bloomberg get sworn into office, along with several other dignitaries. I was a little tired from bringing in the New Year the night before but the twenty degree weather woke me right up haha.
There were several great speakers and a few in particular who really captured the audience's attention. Most of the speeches only lasted a couple minutes but it was obvious which people spent hours and hours perfecting them. The ones prepared were cool and composed at the podium and made it look extremely easy to speak in front of the 5,000+ people in attendance. My favorite speaker (who kind of looked like Harvey Keitel haha) started with a quick funny joke, understood the audience, was passionate about the topic and didn't even have to glance at note cards.

Hello; I stumbled across imitatiors of you from a website and I became determined to find out exactly who you were. As a female, I think i've fallen in love. haha(: You seem to be a very sweet and inspirational guy and reading up on you definitely has me pumped for 2010 in reaching my own resolutions. Oh ! It seems like, among other things, you want to become some kind of politician ? That's not impossible. Is it Arnold's influence ? Anyway, public speaking is really enjoyable when you know it a bit : it's all a matter of seduce, captivate. And my guess is that you obviously are able to captivate some feminine or masculine audience ! (thanks to Juliana....)
Then, it's convince. You take your public by the hand, and bring him wherever you want. And then, fidelize them, so that they follow you till the end of the world, pay you indecent gifts, and cast you to the White House !

I think he counts in Farenheit degrees ;) They do such weird things in such a barbaric country as USA. Just check his stats : inches, feets, pounds... No meters, nor kilograms, as we do in old civilized Europe !
